His first mentor vanished the day he signed on. Every agent Bailey has coached since gets the opposite: an answer, every single time.
Bailey started in restaurant jobs at 15. Chick-fil-A, then a string of others. He loved the work and hated it at the same time: the grind, the hours.
At 19, something clicked. Real estate. He fell in love with the process and committed to it.
His first year was overwhelming and scary. Consistency was the fight, and every routine had to be built from scratch. Then he learned which activities mattered, focused there, and found the game was simple: work hard at the right things. Everything climbed from there.
He joined Power 2.5 years ago. Orange County, 23 transactions. And one record he protects harder than any sales number: every mentee he has ever coached has gotten an answer to every text and every call.
Thirty Days of Unanswered Calls
When we built the Mentor Program at Power, deal counts and smooth pitches were secondary. We went looking for people who show up.
Bailey is obsessed with showing up, and the reason is a story he tells without flinching. In his first 30 days as a licensed agent, at a big-box brokerage, a woman he knew personally walked him through onboarding and got him on her team. The day he joined was the last day he ever heard from her. Texts, calls, voicemails, emails: silence on every channel. When he finally pulled his license, the brokerage had no record of who he was.
That broke something in him. And it built something too.
“I never want a new agent to feel alone, abandoned, or underserved,” Bailey says. “That’s created a passion for teaching and coaching and leading for me. Nothing fills my cup more than helping another agent build success.”
That’s a wound that became a mission.
The skills came with it. Bailey knows how to prospect. He once wrote an offer so strong his client won the house at $20,000 under the top offer. He runs escrows tight enough that clients always know what happens next. When mistakes happen, and they will, he fixes them immediately, in private, and teaches you exactly how to avoid the repeat.
Above all, he shows up. Every day. Every call. Every text answered.
Why “Be Yourself” Is a Sales Strategy
Ask Bailey what agents need to understand about real estate and about being a mentor, and he keeps it plain:
“Be yourself. People think they need to act, talk, or look a certain way in sales. But the more you show your true colors, the more respected you’ll be and the better you’ll click with clients. You can’t earn people’s trust if you aren’t being trustworthy.”
Most agents hunt for a shortcut in leads, systems, or the right broker. Bailey found his in being real. Show up as yourself, behave like someone worth trusting, and trust follows. Clients feel the difference in the first conversation.
It’s also why he chose Power. The systems and leads mattered, and the people decided it. “A lot of the systems and leads were similar to the other office I considered,” he says. “But Power had a different type of people, culture, and support that couldn’t be matched. From the day I walked through those doors, I knew I was home.”
That sense of home is what he builds for his mentees, one answered text at a time.
Calm Under Pressure, $20,000 Under the Top Offer
Bailey brings two skills that decide whether deals close: composure and command of the deal itself.
Composure, because hiccups are guaranteed in real estate. Last-second items, crazy scenarios, the works. An agent who manages his own emotions can support clients when they need it most, so Bailey stays calm, adapts, and solves. His mentees pick it up by watching him do it, deal after deal.
Command of the deal, because he knows how to write an offer, what sellers are looking for, and which terms and details move an offer up the stack. That’s how his client won at $20,000 under the top offer. He knows escrow well enough to walk a client through every single step in plain English. His clients say it straight: “Knows the process cold. Makes it easy to understand. Makes it fun.”
Together, those two skills carry an agent from generating leads to closing them.
Blunt, Kind, and Buying Lunch When You Close
Bailey’s style is straightforward. “I get straight to the point, even though I’m fun and outgoing,” he says. “Strong feedback and immediate communication is key to anyone’s success. I take ‘Work Hard Be Kind’ extremely serious, every step of the journey should be enjoyable.”
On mistakes, he moves quickly, and he starts with what went right. Then he walks you through how the mistake could have been avoided, in detail, with kindness and humor where it fits. You leave knowing the how and the why, and that’s where growth lives.
On communication, he’s a big texter, and you can call him anytime. If he’s mid-showing, you get a text right back with a time he’ll call. He loves face-to-face check-ins too: weekly, monthly, whatever matches your goals. With Bailey, every message gets an answer.
And he celebrates. Your first closing means an upscale lunch on Bailey. The wins matter to him as much as the work, so expect to get spoiled here and there.
Your First Three Deals, With Bailey a Text Away
Mentorship at Power comes standard. It’s the foundation, and with Bailey your first three deals look like this:
Field activities. Minimum two per week: showings, open houses, negotiations, closings. The field is the classroom. You watch Bailey stay calm while a deal wobbles, then you handle the next one with him beside you, then you handle one on your own.
Daily structure. Bailey installs the 3-2-1 rhythm that compounds:
- 3 hours of prospecting
- 2 hours of follow-through (past leads, past clients, SOI)
- 1 hour of roleplay (pitches, objections, scripts)
Run that daily for 90 days and it becomes automatic. By deal two, the schedule carries you and your attention goes to the client.
Tools the way producers run them. Follow Up Boss the way a producing agent works it, far beyond the login. RealScout for finding deals before they hit the MLS. Shilo for seeing which parts of your business are producing.
Escrow from start to finish. An offer gets accepted and you watch Bailey run day one: the calls, the emails, what happens first. Next deal, you run it with him there. The one after that is yours, with him on standby. Inspection period, appraisal, loan contingency, signing, closing, each step done with your own hands.
Real problems. The lockbox breaks. A buyer goes quiet. An appraisal comes in low with the whole deal hanging on it. These are the moments that end new agents’ careers, and with Bailey you watch what a producer does in real time: the answer that saves the deal, straight from the field.
After three deals, you graduate to full independence and standard splits, with the skills, the track record, and proof that your system works.
A Full Gameplan to 100%
Bailey remembers his first 30 days licensed, refreshing his phone for a mentor who had already disappeared.
He also remembers what changed it: Power. The people, the culture, someone who cared, a system that worked, structure and support around every deal.
“I’ve led multiple agents here at Power,” Bailey says. “I know exactly what a new agent needs to be successful in today’s market. My communication is strong. I pay attention to detail. We’ll build a full gameplan to get you to 100% fast. And, of course, I’m fun. I love learning about one another, jamming to music between showings, and taking time to enjoy the process.”
Underneath all of it sits one conviction: on his watch, every new agent has someone in their corner.
The Advice He’d Give His Timid Year-One Self
Be yourself from day 1. That’s what Bailey would tell a new agent starting out, because he learned it the slow way.
“I was slightly timid and took some time to come out of my shell,” he says. “I would’ve found success faster had I broken into the game by being myself from day 1. Embracing who you are and showcasing that helps with networking, marketing, and earning clients’ trust.”
Year one is overwhelming. Year one is scary. The agents who get through it fastest have people around them who show up: mentors who are blunt but kind, who stay calm when a deal goes sideways, who care enough to celebrate a first closing with an upscale lunch.
That’s Bailey, on every count.
Start With Someone Who Picks Up
Bailey’s mission is simple. He was left on his own once, and now every new agent he mentors gets the opposite: training, leads, structure, and a mentor who walks them from first prospect call to third closing, answering the whole way.
